CSpeak - Disable vdp_rdpvcbridge.dll
Overview
In some Windows environments there can be unused components from the VMWare Horizon agent that will cause CSpeak to be unable to detect recording devices. In those cases, the site should remove the Horizon agent or disable the instances of the vdp_rdpvcbridge.dll file.
Option 1: Remove the Horizon View Agent
If your device has the VMWare Horizon View agent installed and you are not actively using that system, please completely remove the Horizon View agent and restart the device. If the agent is not installed, please move to option #2.
Option 2: Disable All Instances of vdp_rdpvcbridge.dll
Warning
Disabling or removing files from Windows or an application installation can cause corruption and instability if done incorrectly. It is strongly encouraged that you backup your device before attempting this option!
The most common place to find the file, “vdp_rdpvcbridge.dll”, is inside of the folders, “c:\windows\system32”, and “c:\windows\syswow64”. To disable the DLL, you can remove it or rename it. It is recommended that you rename it in the event you need to re-enable it in the future. For example, renaming the file to, “vdp_rdpvcbridge_not_used.dll”, would stop CSpeak from finding that DLL.
Notice
There may be other instances of the DLL on your system. In the event the issue persists after disabling the instances in System32 and SysWOW64, you should run a search on the hard drive to look for any extra instances that may be used by the OS
